Sales Executive/Producer (New Business Sales)

Role:

Whitley offices are hiring for experienced Insurance Sales Executives/Producers, specializing in new business sales through prospecting activities and generating referrals. Successful candidates will have thorough knowledge of insurance, proven track record of sales success and strong network or centers of influence to generate new business leads/prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall, responsible for sales production, client relationships, insurer relationships
  • Represent Whitley organization professionally in the marketplace
  • Accountable to track personal progress against company sales plans
  • Establish and maintain client relationships with ability to identify their needs and mitigate risks
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification
  • Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.
  • Provide a strategic overview of the growth initiatives for your book
  • Communicate with the President of Whitley to ensure they remain fully informed of all significant sales issues
  • Ensure all corporate and business unit strategies and plans are incorporated into your personal business plan

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years insurance experience
  • R.I.B.O license required
  • Client development/relationship management experience
  • Strong sales background with demonstrated business acumen
  • University degree desired
  • Superb interpersonal, communication, and effective problem solving skills
  • Ability to be a self starter with strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills
  • Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word

Personal Lines Account Manager

Role:

Whitley Insurance & Financial Services is hiring for a Personal Lines Account Manager for our Deseronto office. The successful hire will be responsible for communicating with clients regularly to review, change, and process policies and claims related to personal lines. Reviewing and advising clients and prospects on their personal insurance needs, including home, auto, liability, watercraft and recreational vehicles. Cross selling and up-selling to round out existing client files.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to telephone, email and fax enquiries, ensuring a high level of service is maintained
  • Renewal review, recommendations, comparison quotes and remarket when needed
  • Total account sales awareness, cross sell and up sell as much as possible
  • Action all renewals, endorsements and claims
  • Process change requests on Power Broker/company portals, when needed
  • Review and invoice all endorsements (and renewals, if necessary)
  • Issue in-house endorsements and new business on company portals, when needed
  • Release renewals after making appropriate changes , when needed
  • Scan and attach documents to Power Broker
  • Quote cross sells and up sell as much as possible
  • Issue pink slips when needed in addition to completing miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Prepare new business documents to be sent for signatures, etc.
  • Report order: MVR, Autoplus, HITS
  • Support other members of the team when needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of insurance experience required
  • R.I.B.O. license is required and preferably working towards CIP and/or C.A.I.B. designation
  • Knowledge of compuquote and company portals an asset.
  • Client development / relationship management experience
  • Superb interpersonal skills, presentation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to be a self starter with strong written and oral communication skills in addition to strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Power Broker

Personal Lines Technical Service Representative

Role:

Whitley offices are hiring for a Personal Lines Technical Service Rep. who will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties related to accurate data input and modification of client data. You will act as support for other locations when necessary and provide assistance in general office tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Processing/Date Input:

  • Accurately input and update client data into system in an efficient and timely manner, preventing errors
  • Perform mathematical tasks and calculate percentages, ratios and averages
  • Keep accurate records of policy changes, renewals, cancellations, and discounts for clients
  • Read and understand verbal and written work orders and instructions such as direction from supervisors
  • Create notes and letters with correct wording and/or rate and class

Office Support/Administration:

  • Occasionally provide guidance, instruction, and direction for others
  • Occasionally attend to covering switchboard
  • Process mail for 3 departments and occasionally process incoming and outgoing courier packages
  • Support work overflow from other locations

Customer Service:

  • Maintain communication with other insurance companies when changes occur

Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Min. 1 year administrative experience, preferably in insurance
  • Superb attention to detail and solid communication skills
  • Ability to be a self starter with strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills
  • Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Broker ideal
  • R.I.B.O. licensed would be an asset
